Hosted by Tools for Solidarity

The intention of this workshop was to gather activists and volunteers to investigate group decision-making. Topics covered include community building and leadership. We investigated universal themes of oppression through improvisational theatre games, including Augusto Boal’s Columbian Hypnosis (Theatre of the Oppressed), that considered: action/reaction, responsibility, privilege and power.

This workshop was built to change based on the perceptions and participation of the people within it, as there is no single definitive solution for social change. Participants investigated individual agency, impulses and self-care through mind/body centering and activities in group process.
